I want to add this note concerning bug 1284:

I just replaced the .ml file mentioned there with a slightly different
one that runs faster. According to my benchmark, this version is
10% faster than the Stream.ml that came with OCAML 3.05 when running
interpreted, and 6% slower when running compiled on a '386. Actual
times are listed just before the benchmark in the comments at the end
of my stream_fixed.ml. This version passes all of the tests that my
previous stream_fixed.ml did, including bootstrapping the ocaml compiler.
