Bug description
system: win NT, cygwin net release (1.1.0).
problem: in the toplevel, when there is an exception that is thrown by
the system (such as a syntax error, typing error, identifier not
bound), there is a STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION. The exact line that is
printed in the cygwin terminal is:
