Original bug ID: 4738
Reporter: @dbuenzli
Status: closed (set by @xavierleroy on 2013-08-31T10:46:30Z)
Resolution: fixed
Priority: normal
Severity: tweak
Version: 3.11.0
Fixed in version: 3.12.0
Category: ~DO NOT USE (was: OCaml general)
Monitored by: @ygrek @dbuenzli @Chris00 @alainfrisch

Bug description

There are currently two separate build procedures (make or ocamlbuild). There are discrepancies between the result of the two (e.g. see [1]) and besides all your good work I expect to see more of these kind of bugs.

To keep everyone (users and dev. team) sane I think the dev. team should choose a single build procedure and stick to it.

Best,

Daniel

Since 3.12.0, the ocamlbuild procedure is no longer mentioned in the INSTALL file, and I would go so far as to say it's unsupported.
