Bug description

(Sorry, but there was no product version to report this against, so I picked the closest one.)

Initially reported as this issue against utop:

ocaml-community/utop#98

This is on an install done on ocaml 4.02.0+trunk, on a fresh install via opam on ubuntu. The version is 1.15. When I try to launch utop on the command line, I get this:

$ utop
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
? Welcome to utop version 1.15 (using OCaml version 4.02.1+dev0-2014-08-29)! ?
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Type #utop_help for help about using utop.

*** Error in `/home/yminsky/.opam/4.02.0+trunk/bin/ocamlrun': double free or corruption (out): 0x0000000001ef16b0 ***

Do you have anything in ~/.utoprc or ~/.ocamlinit?

I cannot reproduce this issue with either the "official" 4.02.0+trunk or a local switch from the git 4.02 branch.

Ugh. After doing having done an "opam switch", I can't replicate it either. I have no idea where the behavior is coming from, but without the ability to replicate it, I suppose this issue should be closed. Sorry for the noise.

Well, it's much better to have too many reports than too few !
