Original bug ID: 924 Reporter: administrator Status: closed Resolution: fixed Priority: normal Severity: minor Category: ~DO NOT USE (was: OCaml general)
Bug description
On 32 bit platforms, there is an overflow in Digest.file with files
larger than 1073741823 bytes. So, in this case, this function will
not return a digest of the whole files, but only of the beginning of
the files.
Moreover, there does not seem to be any easy way to find out whether a
file is larger than 1073741823 bytes. (For instance, Unix.stat
silently overflows.)
