Under Unix, the Unix.tcsetattr / Unix.tcgetattr functions let you
control most parameters of the serial port; you then use Unix.read and
Unix.write as usual to do the actual I/O.

Under other OSes, you'll need a bit of C code to set the parameters of
the serial port.
