Larger parts of code might be marked by being indented inside the
comment.
Turbo Pascal used a similar convention in its help: text written at the
left margin was being broken into likes wrt. the current window width
(and would be typeset with a proportional font if it was possible -
well, it was not possible in the text mode) and lines beginning with
some spaces were treated as preformatted (tables, code).
