It is my pleasure to announce camlusb, which is now in beta testing and is

This project allows one to write user space linux usb drivers and applications 
using the functional programming language Ocaml. It is used in GNUDap

an interface to some mp3 player and mass storage devices with a proprietary 
usb protocol.

At the moment, camlusb supports all functions of libusb 0.1.7. If I will get 
enough requests I will try to upgrade to the latest version.
