LOL! I think the problem is more difficult. Neither FSF nor INRIA is likely to chase Alex with Dobermans. The problem will be that the situation throws doubt on claims of ownership or authority to licence, and that doubt may be an impediement to Alex in selling his company's services or products. It makes no difference if the doubts are well founded or not: the issue is with the perceptions and biases of potential clients.
