This error simply means that you need the curl library. Either install
the version your OS provides (if so; don't forget to install the
development package, too), or install curl manually somewhere and tell
GODI where it is, or simply add the line

GODI_BASEPKG_CURL=yes

to godi.conf which causes GODI to install curl for you.

The point is that GODI does not install libraries automatically that are
usually available in a free operating system.
