The OCaml developers are also (well, mainly!) academic researchers - having been working very hard in the last few months to release OCaml 3.11 (which only came out 41 days ago) I expect that they've returned to other things for now! I imagine that there will be lots of discussion activity (if last year is anything to go by) following the OCaml Users' Meeting 2009 in Grenoble next month - http://wiki.cocan.org/events/europe/ocamlmeetinggrenoble2009 David
