Objective Caml: a serious contestant

Objective Caml performs quite well at the ICFP programming contest. In the six editions of this contest, programs written in Objective Caml obtained the first place three times, the second place twice, the third place once, and the "lightning division" prize once.

Objective Caml was described by the ICFP Contest judges as

the programming tool of choice for discriminating hackers
and
a fine programming tool for many applications.
