Bug description

So, the functions

  • auto_synchronize
  • synchronize
  • remember_mode
  • display_mode
don't work att all on my windows XP, except
  • display_mode false which doesn't change the screen
  • and auto_synchronize true which just re-allow me to draw on the screen, but not refresh it with the backing store.

I'm sorry, i don't really understand what you mean by port.
Moreover, i don't use this laptop anymore and i'm not sure if i'll be able to answer.

I tried with the cygwin port and the MSVC port, and both behave as expected.
I don't think we care much about Windows XP any more, so I'm closing this PR.
