Bug description
There are bunch of useful functions defined in utils/misc.ml. Many of them are pretty general and I think there is no reason to expose them for users. Same for ocamlbuild/my_*.ml.
Or is there any reason to keep the size of stdlib smaller as possible?

Each addition to the stdlib needs to be carefully (and often painfully) discussed (including the naming and implementation) and be accompanied by proper documentation and tests. If you feel that some specific functions would deserve such endeavor, you should open Github PRs.
