Subject: [Caml-list] link error

No implementations provided for the following modules:
  Flx_cil_machdep_type referenced from src/flxlib.cmxa(Flx_cil_cil)
  Flx_cil_cabs referenced from src/flxlib.cmxa(Flx_cil_cabs2cil)

Both the LHS files mentioned do not HAVE
an implementation quite deliberately, they consist
exclusively of type definitions.

What's new here: I say

module X = Flx_cil_machdep_type
let x = m.X.field_name

instead of just

open Flx_cil_machdep_type

If I change it to

module type X = Flx_cil_machdep_type

I get an unbound module error.

The 'open' option is NOT available to me,
it causes a conflict.

I'm now forced to copy my type definition files
to useless *.ml files -- maintenance nightmare.
[Luckily I have a literate programming tool
which can handle it .. :[
